Water Canopy? Huh?
by Mr. Falcon in*** w80 11/15 p. 23 par.
4 jehovah of armies to the rescue!
the fact that today we do not have a vast water canopy suspended high up in space and all around our globe and thus blocking direct sunlight, moonlight and starlight is because jehovah saw what was going on down here upon his terrestrial footstool and took action.

VM44, thank you for posting that. That is postively outrageous that they printed that in this day and age.
it's lewd, lascivious, salacious,............OUTRAGEOUS!
FollowedMyHeart - crazy isn't it? It's like they are living in the Dark Ages. I'm surprised they don't print that the world is flat.

I'd have to do what the WTBS does and saw off the ends of some puzzle pieces and MAKE them fit.
This statement gave me flashbacks to when my mother would teach me that the Flood is the reason for the dinosaurs extinction. And being a young boy obsessed with dinosaurs, I asked her about how come there aren't any plesiosaurs since they lived completely in water and ate sealife. Therefore even a global deluge wouldn't be able to kill them off. She told me to "wait on Jehovah. He'll explain what happened in the New System."

Maybe Rick actually works for the WTBS and is planted among those who left the organization to discredit "apostates" and make them all seem nutty.
nobody would ever in their right minds buy into Johnny the Bethelite or Diarrhea Girl. How about all those weird people who call into his conference calls? That one guy sounds like Yosemite Sam. C'mon, now. Somebody once said that Rick was the Glenn Beck of apostates. GOLD.

Hello and much respect. I was just thinking about situations similar to yours on the way into work this morning. JWs tend to villify those who have chosen not to shovel dung anymore and take control of their lives, even labeling them as "apostates" or other venomous titles. Or they talk about you with heavy hearts about how "foolish" or "stupid" you are for doing what you're doing. Some JWs even liken these ones to the "evil slave".
And sadly, I was one of them. But now that I'm waking up, and after reading your introduction, I have come to realize just how brave and respect-worthy you and others like you are. Many of you have been through much and lost much to get where you're at. Friends, parents, children..... gone. There is no possible way that the decision that some of you have made or been forced to make has been easy, but I'll say this much. Any of you DF'd, DA'd, "apostates" or whatever your status is can drink from my canteen anyday.
Welcome!

There is no happy endings for Jehovahs witnesses
by Star tiger init's sad too say that all of us good people that believed in a happy ending through justice that god would protect us, is a false promise, it us mere humans that make our lives and however we chose to lives this is our lot, no mystic new order or paradise earth, we make our own destiny!!!.

I'd hit it. Judging by their size, I'd say #4 Birdshot should do the trick.

HAHAHA Morbidz! What's sad is that what you're theorizing isn't that much wackier than what many JWs spew. I always love how people with practically no education think they can hold their own when debating scientific beliefs. Like what they read in that awful blue creation book is more convincing and accurate than all the scientific books on the freaking planet.
I know a handful of Creationists (non-JWs) who while defending creationism, have actually taken the time to study biology, geology, etc. So while I may not subscribe to all their ideas, I can at least respect them for having some degree of education.

Outlaw - I think I saw that or a similar documentary. They were also saying that the story of Noah borrowed heavily from some ancient Chaldean story about Gilgamesh on his raft or something like that.
Dammit Wilson, are you gonna help me build this Ark or not????
I think Isaac is one to something. Officially going back on the stupid Water Canopy doctrine or even trying to downplay it as "adjusted" or "New Light" could prove DEVASTATING to their solution for the whole "how long has man been cranking one out on this planet" question. And then, where would it stop? Could there have been primitive man? Was Adam & Eve really the first humans? Is there possibly some fact behind evolution? There is no way that the WTBS is going to open that can of worms!
